Has anyone seen this? This is the output from ./configure of xinetd on slackware 9.1 2.2.2x kernel.
<snip>
checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnulibc1
checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnulibc1
checking target system type... i686-pc-linux-gnulibc1
checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details.
</snip>
I'm in the proccess of reinstalling gcc, and all the libraries to be sure, but I'm hoping there's a quick fix somewhere out there.

Thanks
