OK, that's seems strange :-/

Correct, I forgot to mention that.

By modprobing usbtmc after running the test?

That seems OK, If I interpret the specs right, the device should halt their 
bulk endpoints in any error case and wait for a specific control message on 
the control endpoint to unblock it.
