In general triggering is on my stalled list:

It would not be hard to draw the "T" marker in the ruler. Also, PV is designed
with support for negative time for pre-trigger capture. So in that case the Trig
marker will always be drawn at t=0. If an sr file has this information, or if a
driver provides it, PV is ready to handle it if I add support. That's the easy
part.
Actual configuration of Triggering is a big unknown for me. Not much work has
been done on this. We need to come up with some design for triggers that scales
well across the capabilities of different devices, and enables both simple and
complex use cases.
