Thanks Uwe,
this made my day ! Its working !

Though I have two more questions:

1. Where do I find this Readme.devices ?

2. I had a hard time to find a proper beginners tutorial, documentation
or examples on how to use the "sigrok-cli" software (not talking about
installation, this is properly explained !). I also did not find a forum
or a support page (except for this sigrok-devel-mailing-list) where I
could ask my beginners questions.

Can you please send me the link to the beginners tutorials and a support
forum (if existing).

Thanks, Holger

You have to provide the VID/PID of your cable since it doesn't uniquely
identify a certain device (i.e. the same VID/PID is used in other cables
and other devices as well). See also README.devices.

Here's a test-run I just did with a UT61D:

$ sigrok-cli --driver uni-t-ut61d:conn=1a86.e008 --scan
The following devices were found:
uni-t-ut61d - UNI-T UT61D with 1 channel: P1

$ sigrok-cli --driver uni-t-ut61d:conn=1a86.e008 -O analog --samples 1
P1: 0.338100 V DC AUTO

(no need to run this as root if you use the udev file we provide btw)

Cheers, Uwe.
