Nice to hear that! I've bought a UM232H (eBay DE, 12€) and I'll try to
reproduce your results. Maybe I can support the development somehow.
In any case it could be helpful if you provide the initial code via github.
You mentioned that there is a risk by using the Linux variant of FT_PROG,
maybe you can provide additional information on that topic?
