Those should not be necessary, the mainline/official/bleeding-edge repo is always git://sigrok.org/pulseview (and doesn't need those fixes as you mentioned). Anything on github is clones from various people that may or may not be lagging behind sigrok.org, but those are not relevant really. Only the state of the sigrok.org repo matters and patches should only be made against that.
