Hi I recently ordered DSLogc + Scope as I personally think this is a great example of open source hardware device. I am an active contributor to open-source software community and want to see more progress in hardware as well.
I found that DreamStudio forked libsigrok a while ago and never managed to get their changes upstream. And upstream decided to make its own implementation for hardware used in DSLogic. As a part of learning libsigrok/dsview code I've decided to extract DreamStudio changes. In fact their repo contains a lot of non-functional changes such as removing non-DS hardware, package renaming and code mis-formatting (leading tabs -> whitespaces). Here are their changes as of May 22 https://github.com/anatol/libsigrok/commit/b601ecd454c757211f775c9fb7a14da64da40d09 DreamStudio forked their repo off commit 26aec7fdc4c5d1f3e (it is two years old). I cleaned up their changes trying to leave only functional modifications. At the end I've got this https://github.com/anatol/libsigrok/commit/339651140cee0f47f75dab239135e9ee09c0e0f7 I tried to rebase these modifications to libsigrok current master branch but there are too many conflicts (e.g. libsigrok project source tree reorganization in 2014). I guess these changes cannot be merged into libsigrok directly, but maybe it can be used as a reference of what DreamStudio made. Thus lisigrok port development for this hardware can be made easier. Speaking of DSLogic hardware support in libsigrok - what is the current status of this task?
