Hi WH, thanks for letting us know that you appreciate the work :)
Unfortunately though, compiling the sigrok suite on Windows isn't straightforward. This is in part due to the fact that it's not a simple task and in part because we're (almost) all devs who use Linux for our main machines. Historically, the Windows build was only provided as a nice gesture to Windows users, relying on them to provide bug reports and bugfixes. This has changed a little, but really just a little ;) Did you see http://sigrok.org/wiki/Windows#Building_from_source already? I suggest giving MXE a try and seeing how far you get. Once there's a successful PV build, using Eclipse as an editor and setting it up to perform the build shouldn't be hard. -Soeren On Sun, 2016-06-26 at 14:00 +0000, wh wrote: > Hi All, > > I just discovered sigrok & I really appreciate the effort. > > I'm using PulseView as I prefer GUI over CLI. > > I really like to contribute to this project but unfortunately I am in > Windows & I can see that there is no easy way to develop under > Windows. > Is there a way to compile this using Eclipse under Windows? > > Thanks > > WH > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > --------- > Attend Shape: An AT&T Tech Expo July 15-16.
