Dear Sigrok developers,

Some time ago, while working on USB-C, we built a USB Power Delivery Analyzer
code-named Twinkie.
It's open-source hardware and firmware, so the (then early version of) Sigrok
was a good match
as a host software and I wrote a driver for it and USB Power Delivery protocol
decoder.
more details are available there:
https://sites.google.com/a/chromium.org/dev/chromium-os/twinkie

Over the years (time is flying), I have upstreamed the protocol decoder here,
but we kept
the Twinkie hardware driver for libsigrok out of tree, mainly because it always
needs a bit more
clean-up (but here for upstreaming, don't let perfect be the enemy of better)
and also because
it's a quite specialized measurement tool.

It's time to do some progress on the upstreaming side, so I'm putting the
up-to-date patch for
libsigrok/master in the next email and I'm eagerly waiting for your comments to
get it
fully ready for inclusion.

The patch is also available there:
