Hey there,

since I am new on the list I'd like to introduce myself first:

I am a professional C++ kernel developer for over 5 years now and I do
also code some python in my free time. I have done some implementations
regarding to automotive protocols like LIN, CAN(FD) and FlexRay. Since I
always wanted to contribute to an open source project I've started my
work on implementing a LIN protocol stack decoder for Sigrok (based on
UART) and here are my first results: https://i.imgur.com/PKFB6lj.png

Could someone add me to the wiki for LIN in the 'Possible candidates for
future protocol decoders' section [1] please? Progress is about 5% done
at this moment. I may also implement decoders for CAN-FD and FlexRay
later (as soon as I find some time for it).

I will send you a patch as mentioned in [2] as soon as the LIN decoder
is usable and follows the required coding rules. Of course I will also
provide some test data and unit tests then.
