Okay, I understand. So the debugging with WinPDB is not possible because the Windows installation provides the Python runtime in this (admittedly) very elegant way. I proprose to update https://sigrok.org/wiki/Protocol_decoder_HOWTO to emphazise debugging is only possible with the complete development enviroment. The current phrase * To debug the Python implementation of a decoder during development does not show that it is not related to my decoder's development, but sigrok. I will give a Linux installation a try. But reading the decoder's documentation whose data I want to parse was also helpful.
