Hi, thanks for the prompt response.
In my case black on any dark background is a problem - white on a dark
background would be better ... with me contrast is the problem.
However, there are many other sight problems so I suspect you would need
a selection of themes.
For example my son in law is partly colour blind, and I'm sure there are
many variations.
Assigning a specific colour to a class is one solution.
How about being able to import a text file where each class colour is
represented by two HEX words for foreground and background ?
e.g. In Notepad++ the syntax definition files contain entries like
fgColor="1F941F" bgColor="F0F7F0".
Not sure I know enough about the internals of PV to comment, really.
Regards,
Dave

Hello David,
As of now, the colors are auto-generated because PV must work with any
protocol decoder in a generic way. I understand the issue you're having
and I would like to work out a way that works for you and people in
similar situations.
However, I'm currently unsure how to achieve this.
Would it help to avoid colors in a certain range, e.g. allowing users
to say "don't use red hues" or "don't use purple hues"?
Would it help to allow users to choose the text color for annotation
texts?
Would it help to be able to assign a specific color to a specific
annotation class?
If you have other suggestions then please share.
All the best,
Soeren

I have a problem with certain colour combinations (black letters on
a
dark red being very bad) and I'm sure there are colour blind users
out
there that struggle too.
Perhaps an alternative "theme" that can be tweaked by the end user ??
Thanks for an excellent package by the way :-)
Best regards,
Dave
