Is this covered by the SCPI spec? Thought CR/LF was the canonical EOL condition, but don't know the spec by heart, so could be wrong. Mind you, I do understand that this is a workaround for a device which was found "in the wild". Which may talk something that is SCPI like, but may not be strictly SCPI. So the motivation is obvious. The reason why I ask: Does that change of collapsing _any_ of the CR and/or LF combinations affect other devices which currently are supported? I know that there are empty requests (initiating remote operation by sending a mere newline). Are there empty responses, too? Because these now would get dropped, or are not detected any longer, or are mistaken as something different and the request/response relation gets out of sync. virtually yours Gerhard Sittig -- If you don't understand or are scared by any of the above ask your parents or an adult to help you. _______________________________________________ sigrok-devel mailing list sigrok-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/sigrok-devel
