Hi needed to fix a bug in the DCC decoder included in Pulseview. Using Windows 10, I opened it in notepad++ and added some hashtag comments and changed 3 lines of the code. Saving it was an issue since the program files folder is write protected, so I saved it to my desktop and then used windows to copy it to the program folder and overwrite the one there. Now it disappeared from the decoder menu.
I then copied the file to C:\ProgramData\libsigrokdecode\decoders\dcc since I saw that on the web help. Nothing. So I tried copying one of the other files that I didn't mess with and just changed the name and id inside it. That didn't work either. Nothing I create shows up in the decoder list.
