There are fakes, where unknown chips are relabeled and there are clone
with marking indication another manfucture, but not delivering a
hidden surplus value that all STM32F103x8 had so long: Available upper
flash from 64k to 128k.

The STLINKV3-MODS is appealing: USB2-HS and much more resources and
