Hi, The sigrok website claims to suppport a huge amount of hardware (https://sigrok.org/wiki/Supported_hardware). Unfortunately the support varies in the aspect of software version and target OS. While sigrok works perfectly with most devices, there are problems with at the one I choosed. And I doubt that I am perfect in choosing the wrong device. :-)
The current version 0.7.1 doesn't support the Kingst LA2016 (https://sigrok.org/wiki/Kingst_LA2016): C:\Program Files (x86)\sigrok\sigrok-cli>sigrok-cli --version sigrok-cli 0.7.1 Libraries and features: - libsigrok 0.5.1/5:0:1 (rt: 0.5.1/5:0:1). - Libs: ..... C:\Program Files (x86)\sigrok\sigrok-cli>sigrok-cli --list-supported Supported hardware drivers: agilent-dmm Agilent U12xx series DMMs appa-55ii APPA 55II ... iso-tech-idm103n ISO-TECH IDM103N kecheng-kc-330b Kecheng KC-330B kern-ew-6200-2nm KERN EW 6200-2NM korad-kaxxxxp Korad KAxxxxP ... The Kingst LA2016 will be inserted before the Korad KAxxxxP in next versions as you can see with the nightly build version: kern-ew-6200-2nm KERN EW 6200-2NM kingst-la2016 Kingst LA2016 <---- korad-kaxxxxp Korad KAxxxxP It would be good to have in information about the least required software version at the page (https://sigrok.org/wiki/Kingst_LA2016). This would include that the device is new. Since there is no stable software version the experience with the device isn't wide spread. Currently even the sigrok development version does NOT support Windows. Although Florian has worked hard and with patience to solve the issue, the Kingst LA2016 is not supported at the Windows 10. It would be good to have an information on the device's page on what OS versions it was tested. I propose to add the information about SW version and supported OS on the device's pages. This would help users of sigrok to select a device for their working environment.
