RaiMan proposed the following answer:
for i in range(x): type(Key.TAB)
where x has to be substituted by the number of the repeats.
you might even make this shorter using a def()
the definition somewhere in the beginning of the script:
def doTab(n):
for i in range (n=1):
type (Key.TAB)
and later the usage:
doTab(3)
....
doTab(5)
...
doTab() # tab one time
