I always build completely with 64 Bit on my Mac Lion by commenting out the line in common.cmake: #SET(CMAKE_OSX_ARCHITECTURES i386 x86_64) and having all dependency stuff installed as 64-Bit. So this might be some mix up of architecture settings some where in the build process.
