Question #203331 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/203331

    Status: Open => Answered

RaiMan proposed the following answer:
Sikuli scripts cannot return strings to the command line directly.

But you might write the string to a file, that is read in your command
line workflow, after the Sikuli script has finished.

If your Sikuli script does not produce any print out to the command line, then
you could get this even easier:
Just before exit say
print theReturnString

and in the command workflow use the normal pipe commands to catch the string:
runSikuliScript theScript >return.txt

or even directly:
runSikuliScript theScript | someQTPcommandThatExceptsInputFromStdIn
