There's two commands in the FAQ. The first:
SIKULI_HOME=/Applications/Sikuli-IDE.app/Contents/Resources/Java
sets an environment variable. The second:
java -jar $SIKULI_HOME/sikuli-script.jar path-to-your-script/yourScript.sikuli
executes the script.
By the response you're getting, it looks like you're only running the second
command without having run the first. Since $SIKULI_HOME is empty, java isn't
looking in the right place for sikuli-script.jar
