RaiMan proposed the following answer:
Hard to tell, what is accumulating on the heap, without having a look on
your tests.
Something is either not freed or for some reason not eligible for GC.
You might use a profiler like VisualVM to find out which objects are the
cause for this.
At the moment I have no idea, and do not think it has anything to do
with Ant (and if it has, then it is an Ant problem ;-)
