RaiMan proposed the following answer:
Check wether the VB window has focus at the time of the click.
If you think it has not, try a doubleClick() for the first click or try
switchApp() or any other approach, to give focus to the VB window after
the script has started.
If this does not help, try this: run your script with admin rights
