RaiMan proposed the following answer:
reg=Region(var)
expects var ro be another Region or java.awt.Rectangle, but when you
call
myRegion(var1)
you hand over a string (image filename)
If you mean the region, the given image currently represents on the
screen:
myRegion(find(var1))
