RaiMan proposed the following answer:
This happens on Mac (faq 2521), if you never had a Sikuli application
registered on your system (1.1.0 currently does not have an app).
So as a first user of Sikuli, you first have to setup 1.0.1 and move the app to
/Applications.
Then you might switch to 1.1.0-Beta1 (but why wanting to use a Beta version as
a beginner ;-)
