Question #251539 on Sikuli changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/251539
felix posted a new comment: I decided to take a time machine and download the older version of Java 6 as instructed in this page: http://groups.csail.mit.edu/uid/sikuli/download.shtml#win Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 is obviously no longer being offered. So I downloaded from the old archive: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase6-419409.html#jre-6u32-oth-JPR I downloaded this version from the archive: Java SE Runtime Environment 6u34 I learned that x86 means 32 bit. So I downloaded the online version and installed it. When I opened the sikuli-setup.jar file this time magic happened! I went through the instructions and now I'm glad that I never gave up! :D I hope this info helps other noobs like me and never give up.. it's just I spent almost a whole day troubleshooting. and was wondering wether it was worth or not. Need to learn how to prioritize :) Any further assistance for Java 7 not working in my specific situation would be great for future reference.
