RaiMan proposed the following answer:
Both packages have nothing to do with each other.
Sikuli Java API is a to some extent feature compatible Java only
implementation, but is not API compatible.
You might try to put sikuli-api-1.0.2-standalone.jar on the class path when
running SikuliX IDE.
Then you might access the features from Python scripting.
I never checked, wether this leads to any conflicts.
The mentioned feature is not yet available in SikuliX, but on the list.
