RaiMan proposed the following answer:
except Region.exists() all explicit or implicit find ops throw
FindFailed exception, that can either be catched (try/catch) or
delegated to the caller via throws … in the method definition.
when having a throws FindFailed in the main method definition, the
program will crash with this exception.
