David Douglas confirmed that the question is solved:
I hope the boys at MIT will absolutely grimace when they hear what I did
to work around the popup....
Used a terminal program called 'cliclick' (downloadable with brew) to
automatically click the 'OK' button on the sikuli command line options
popup.
