Geoff Bache posted a new comment: OK, the App.open(...) tip seems to work to avoid the startup time penalty (and needs documenting...). That's really the only performance problem, that the other takes 0.1 seconds instead of 0.01 isn't significant in the scheme of things. So it's more why the focus isn't working now. But also, there is a new problem unfortunately. Yesterday's nightjob does not find images which last week's (0519) has no problem with.
