RaiMan proposed the following answer:
try to run sox with subprocess.Popen().
In parallel I will check, what might force run, to cut the output.
The following would be helpful:
run on commandline:
sox.exe "a.wav" -n stat 1>logOut.txt 2>logError.txt
and send me the 2 files to sikulix--at--outlook--dot--com
