I just made a test on Windows 10:
This all works as expected with latest SikuliX 1.1.1:
np = r"C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\notepad++.exe"
anp = App(np)
anp.open()
anp.waitForWindow()
print anp
wait(3)
App.focus("Untitled") # an open window of Windows Notepad
wait(3)
App.focus("Notepad++")
wait(3)
App.focus("Untitled")
wait(3)
anp.focus()
wait(3)
anp.close()
wait(3)
