Try to Use keyboard actions to select the menu and its entries.
or:
While the SikuliX IDE is open, you can arrange a GUI situation and then
use the capture hotkey (see Preferences), to capture for example a menu
item, that otherwise with the normal capture button would disappear
before you have a chance.
