With version 2.0.x you could try with
Settings.AutoDetectKeyboardLayout = False
In the area of type() this is the only difference between 1.1.3 and
1.1.4.
The default is True, which activates a new feature, that tries to remove
the restrictions to the PC-US keyboard layout of type().
... but maybe this is a conflict with VM's.
