Hoops, intangible assets like trademarks amortise rather than depreciate. It's the same process, but you'll get more relevant info in a search using that keyword.
If a trademark has an indefinite useful life it can't be amortised. This would be the case most of the time. If it has a finite life for some reason, it would be subject to an impairment test. That's basically an assessment of whether the asset's value on your books exceeds the real market value.
