Hey everyone, On Matewire, everybody can search for fun & outdoor activities such as surfing or rock climbing in order to make new friends with the same mindset. We have already launched our alpha-version, Check it out on www.matewire.com and by clicking on the "YOU" in capital letters. We are located at Fishburners and now are looking for a third Co- founder.
At the moment my Co-founder is programming the website in Ruby on Rails and I'm taking care of the business side. We've worked for 5 weeks by ourselves and we launched our private-beta two weeks ago. Now, we are looking for a keen third Co-founder with expertise in RoR, because we want to fully launch in 4-6 weeks and my Co-founder can only work part-time on Matewire. How do we make money? We provide deals around our user's activities and we are keeping a cut. For instance surfers at Bondi Beach will get a special deal with 40% off surf-rentals at a Bondi surf shops. As opposed to traditional deal sites, we not only have the WHAT (surfing), but also the WHEN (Tuesday 2-4pm) and the WHERE (Bondi Beach) of when a deal is needed. There's a lot more to it of course, this is just a small outline. We don't have much money at the moment, but can offer a good chunk of equity to the third Co-founder.
