Interesting question… I started out cooking for neighbours who were affected by the pandemic… so that kept me very busy, and productively so, through the worst part of the pandemic. The unexpected fallout was new friends and a support group in the neighbourhood — a blessing of sorts through the last couple of years.
I found time and some virtual groups to write with. They’re keen on publishing so the fallout is making headway to being published with zero effort apart from my written contribution. I no longer need to explain the benefits of no-commute-working to colleagues. It’s now well understood and accepted. Wonderful for me, avoiding between three to four hours daily on the road should offices reopen. An epiphany: between any two people, one will always grieve the loss of the other. It’s a given. Appreciation of all the little things I’ve enjoyed: looking out of my window at a patch of green, birds nesting in my balcony, time with people who matter, food, fitness, the arts, music, being on the road again after a hiatus.
