Oh, it's a requirement to be married in the Roman Catholic church – Engaged
Encounter <https://ceespore.sg/weekend-program> for pre and Marriage
Encounters for post. Other denominations also require their versions of it.
My cousin-in-law and his fiancée went through EE, and despite her being
steadfast in refusing to convert (this will become a serious bone of
contention with his elders very soon), she found some of the questions
probing into each person's familial background, upbringing and belief
systems around conflict and its resolution to be very helpful in any
context. The more religious slant on the other issues, such as raising
children in the faith, were rather less of a hit.
