i think sometime back Udhay had posted some link from he McKinsey Quarterly, which prompted me to check it and then sign up for their free newsletter.
i kind of browse them intermittently.
intrigued by one aspect, however. Many of their lead stories feature an "illustration" which are basically paintings/other artworks by prominent Indian contemporary artists like Baiju Parthan or Anjum Singh. they might not be that well known outside the artists community (unlike say, Hussain or Tyeb Mehta) but they are expected regulars within the gallery/residency circuit and have a significant body of work.
Now, it is well known that Indian contemporary art is getting more and more market friendly with things like "art mutual funds" (or something like that) coming up in Bombay and elsewhere.
So, can here anyone illuminate on, what is the McKinsey and Indian Art connection? Who chooses these images? Is the McKinsey Quarterly an institutional  buyer and collector in any way?

Thanks,
abhishek
