Just fair to point out that this works only for specific gsm operators, so Bharath, you're out of luck. Location services involves enabling equipment or technology on the operator network, which can range from expensive to horrendously expensive, depending on accuracy. I implemented a very basic version of this in BPL Mobile in India around 2001 or so, based on a SIM-based application. We sold it to corporates to track their corporate employee phones. It was never made available to individual subscribers as far as I know. I must admit that I had fun scaring colleagues, calling them up from Bangalore and asking them what they were doing in specific localities of Mumbai! Regards, Ram
