She is speaking definitely to her "fan club". The "suffering millions"
she talks about probably don't know that Bush is visiting or don't
care, even if they do know. I think the emerging and growing middle
class does care what happens to Indo-American ties (irrespective of who
is president) and I am always amazed at how Ms Roy (to my knowledge)
always ignores that segment of the population in all her tirades on
socio-economic imbalances.

The economist article acknowledges counterviews and presents them while
all Ms Roy is rant incessantly. Any major demonstrations against the
Bush visit seem to be organized by the Jamiat Ulema-I-Hind, All India
Milli Council etc and IMO, these people would not turn out if Islam was
not involved.
