|    often go  alone...!  I have once  written an article  about how one

I thought  this (our?)  species is  extinct too.  Atleast  I thought I
would  be  the  only  'black  haired'  guy  during  the  Madras  Music
Season'04[1]. To my surprise I  even made some friends at the concerts
(I  mean,  "my age  group"  friends ;)  ).   I  suddenly realized  the
plethora of avenues to Date and Mate!

... and yes, I'm in  Bangalore too :) Attending ramanavami concerts at
Fort  High  School?  I  listened  to  the  Bombay Sisters  concert  by
standing outside the  venue (Music should be Free, isn't  it? ;) ) and
'paid' for  the Mandolin  Shrinivas Concert. Haven't  had the  time to
attend the other concerts. I'm saving up on my 'paid holidays' to take
a month off during this years Music Season at Chennai :)

I've  been learning  Carnatic only  since  Oct'2004 (due  to a  sudden
'realization' of the beauty that I started seeing in it) but have been
listening to  it (without a  willing choice) since childhood  -- yeah,
the  typical  TamBram   house  where  M.S.Subbulakshmi  sings  "Sriman
Narayana" at 6 AM.  You can imagine what the 'ground reality' would be
given my grand ma used to tell us: "Pattammal[2] was my neighbour".

btw, Guitarist  Prasanna[3] is playing  on 7th at Palace  Grounds.  It
isn't a true-blue Carnatic concert.  He is playing tracks from his new
album titled  "Electric Ganesha  Land" -- a  Tribute to  Jimi Hendrix,
Chennai Style.
