no. pyramid schemes depend on a constant flow on new investors whose principal provides the returns for previous investors. futures trading is typically conducted by a relatively small number of large firms and an even smaller number of funds that aggregate investments of relatively rich retail investors. so neither the ignorance of new investors, nor the need for continuous addition of investors is required. -rishab
