The problem seems to be with Anil Kumar's reply. There is no
'In-Reply-To' header in his email. Threading of emails is a complex
thing. There are numerous mail reading software out there and not all
of them do the Right Thing. In fact, they have multiple opinions of
what The Right Thing is. Mail readers usually try and figure out
threading based on a whole bunch of things (including falling back on
the Subject line if all else fails. In Anil's case, since there were
no email headers to indicate what thread that email is part of, Gmail
seems to have fallen back on the subject. And the threading by subject
failed because of the '(Udhay Shankar N)' bit which was not part of
the the original thread.
