Guys - its China Southern we're talking about .. and their fleet has several venerable old antiques in it [of about the same age as the rustbuckets that Northwest keeps flying around in the states .. lots of 757s, DC-8,9 and 10s and such] A lot of those actually did flush with chemical water - like the toilet in that dry ice story Udhay posted. Modern airplane toilets tend to use a very little water and then a strong vacuum pressure to suck the shit into the disposal. [And the toilet is not lined with steel as in older planes, but with some kind of slick plastic material]
