Even in the early to late 90s .. their food's been quite overrated, even
the trademark aapam / stew (let's not even go anywhere near what they
call a "steak" please)

And not a very honest menu either. I remember a time around 2000 when I
ordered breakfast there. Wanted an omelet. There's various omelets for
around 35..40 rupees each. So the waiter suggests that I try a spanish
omelet, which isn't on the menu, but what the hell, it should be priced
similarly is what I figured, and ordered it.

One omelet (which didn't exactly make me go Ole') later, the bill
arrives .. Rs.120 or something like that.

They really do love to stiff their customers, don't they?

I rarely if ever go to Koshy's these days if I'm in bangalore. If I want
non vegetarian food there's the ever present Imperial, or that tiny hole
in the wall mallu joint right next to the MG road signal (forgot what it
was called but open at all hours of the day or night)
