Is it possible that some of the information might have been made by the users of Google Earth? Maybe Thaths can find out...
One error I noticed -- 9th Cross in JP Nagar (off which I grew up) is named "Sarakki Main Road," whereas Sarakki Main Road actually refers to a different road that is perpendicular to 9th cross. What I find interesting is that some of the names that are used seem to be more colloquial than official names. For example, in the map below, one of the "parks" in Jayanagar is called "Green Pitch Ground." (I believe there is one of those corner temples on it now). I know we used to call it that growing up, but I can't imagine that is anything more than an unofficial title. It makes me wonder how they collected this information .... http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=Bangalore+India&ie=UTF8&om=1&z=17&ll=12.918948,77.585878&spn=0.00481,0.010815&t=h&iwloc=addr DK <http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=Bangalore+India&ie=UTF8&om=1&z=17&ll=12.918948,77.585878&spn=0.00481,0.010815&t=h&iwloc=addr>
