Ethiopian food is remarkably similar to Malayali food. They have the
equivalent of an Appam (called injera) with yellow dry cabbage which tastes
like 'toran' and a beef stew (called wat).

I always thought Injera was a creative implementation of a Masala Dosa [1] myself. :-)
