Yes, I had a similar experience two days ago and promptly changed it for a double fillet mignon instead.

And I even know why it happened. They tried to cook it on too high a heat like they do with their regular steaks. The rib-eye has more fat and needs gentler heat.

Oh well...

I think I shall try making myself a flavoured steak with a nice dry spice rub tonight. ;)
