Trust collapse in the compartment is concerted (since positive-feedback). Such periodic collapses (driven by the exponentially widening gap between accrued interest and subexponential growth of underlying economies) are built-in into our economic system. And guess what, we're overdue for a new one. It will probably start with the U.S, and drag down the rest of us with it. I would be dearly love to be wrong about this one, because it typically takes some 15-20 years to regain the losses. This would do very bad things to tigers/dragons, and of course China and India foremost. -- Eugen* Leitl leitl http://leitl.org ______________________________________________________________ ICBM: 48.07100, 11.36820 http://www.ativel.com 8B29F6BE: 099D 78BA 2FD3 B014 B08A 7779 75B0 2443 8B29 F6BE
