The BBC reported in January that the OLPC folks plan to release it wide scale to everyone in 2008, in a clever 2-for-1 scheme. It'll be interesting to see exactly when they get to the $100 per laptop that they're expecting. Right now, its still costs about $150.

I saw it, used it and like it. I was skeptical prior to seeing this. i also have a video clip, and am waiting to get the green light. it is a rugged little PC, but works like a charm.
